Tim is an art director at the media and events company UBM Americas in New York City where he art directs magazines, designs digital and print marketing materials, and creates videos for the firm’s brands in the technology and advanced manufacturing sectors.

He has also art directed and designed projects for entertainment brands Paramount, CBS Television, Discovery Networks, and The History Channel, as well as corporate clients such as Eli Lilly & Company, Allstate, and Sears.

For nearly a decade in Indianapolis, the native Hoosier led a dual life—designing by day and writing and performing with indie rock band, the Burning Limos by night. When early mornings in dank bars had lost their luster, Tim followed his creative instincts to Los Angeles, where he received an MFA in screenwriting from UCLA’s prestigious Film and Television program. A recipient of several screenwriting awards, Tim’s short film The Fortune was a selection of the 2004 L.A. Short Film Festival.

Tim’s alter ego, Johnson Fairbanks, is the inventor of the double-spouted coffee pot, and is an occasional contributor to the Weekly World News.
